Santa may not have received your wishlist this year, but Starbucks sure did — and it’s making all your holiday dreams come true in the form of free coffee.
From December 11 to the 23rd, Starbucks employees will be visiting community events throughout the country and handing out $20 gift cards — 50,000 of them, that is, for a total of $1 million.
This is just one part of the company’s latest initiative, known as Project Give Good, which launched December 4 and runs through the end of the month.
How does Starbucks decide which events to visit? From customer suggestions, which can be made to your local Starbucks barista from now until December 8.
But if a gift card giveaway doesn’t come to your area, there are still other perks to take advantage of. Any Starbucks customer who pays using their mobile app or a registered Starbucks card in December will automatically earn “Gold status” in Starbucks Rewards for a year (this includes deals like coupons, free refills and complimentary drinks or food items).
