Location, location, location.

According to a new Zillow analysis, if you're looking to sell your home this year, there are 10 top metropolises where that classic adage really holds true.

To rank the top-selling housing markets throughout the U.S., the survey looked at three key factors: the sell price compared to the listing price, the length of time properties spent on the market, and the likelihood of a price cut.

Once the numbers were tabulated, the folks at Zillow found that the most competitive—and profitable—markets were overwhelmingly clustered out west.

In fact, six of the top 10 cities dot the Pacific Coast, including (not surprisingly) tech and business centers like San Jose, San Francisco and Seattle.

And as you'll see, Boston, the only East Coaster on the roster, comes in at #10:

1. San Jose, Calif.
2. San Francisco, Calif.
3. Denver, Colo.
4. Seattle, Wash.
5. Dallas-Fort Worth, Tex.
6. Los Angeles, Calif.
7. Portland, Ore.
8. Sacramento, Calif.
9. Nashville, Tenn.
10. Boston, Mass.
