Countdown: LearnVest Live NYC

Countdown: LearnVest Live NYC

LearnVest Live NYC is undoubtedly one of my favorite nights of the year. Why?

We bring together well over 1,000 people on a busy fall evening to help them make progress on their money. After connecting with so many of you via our website, the LearnVest Daily, or on the phone, there is something incredibly powerful about putting all of that energy into one space.

We’re aiming to make our third annual LearnVest Live NYC, cosponsored by Chase and Haven Life, bigger and better than ever. I think of it as the ultimate money boot camp, where we’ll help make your money sweat.

Talking about money can be stressful, which is why we break it down into easy steps and clear to-dos that you can work on right from the event. And we hope that you’ll leave with the momentum to keep making progress long after LearnVest Live.

This year is all about motivation and progress. We’re calling in some of our favorite speakers, including:

  • Stacey Griffith, an inspirational fitness guru and SoulCycle senior master instructor who counts Madonna and Deepak Chopra among her clients. She’ll be there to bring the energy that has made her one of SoulCycle’s most popular instructors.
  • Michael Norton, a professor at Harvard Business School who coauthored "Happy Money: The Science of Smarter Spending." Wired magazine named him one of 50 People Who Will Change the World, and with tips on how to spend to make you happier, my hope is that he’ll change your financial world.

We’re also bringing you two Power Sessions to choose from: “Let’s Talk Goals” and “Getting Positive Net Worth.”

Led by our LearnVest Planners, these sessions will feature speakers including Carley Roney, cofounder of XO Group, Inc., Lauren Maillian Bias, entrepreneur and author of "The Path Redefined," and Janis Bowdler, senior program director for Consumer Financial Capability with JPMorgan Chase & Co. The Power Sessions are designed to help you understand your values, identify your blind spots and estimate your nonmonthly expenses.

So if you’re in the NYC area (or if a trip to NYC is in your budget!), I hope to see you on Wednesday, October 22. Tickets are flying, but we’re holding 100 tickets at the presale price just for you readers. Learn more about the event here, and get your tickets here.

Let’s get started making progress on our money. I’ll see you there!
