According to Forbes, despite the slow growth, only a quarter of companies state that they are “very confident” that they will offer medical health benefits 10 years from now.

This uncertainty comes amid the shift of health care costs toward workers, who footed 37% of the bill this year, up from 34% in 2011. This shift will probably continue as employers steel themselves for whatever may come with the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. In fact, more than 80% of the companies surveyed said that they plan to push more of the costs onto their workers.
