DIY Tip of the Week: Make Your Own Window Cleaner

It's spring!

And what would the first official day of spring be without a dose of spring cleaning?

In short, it would not very spring-y.

Nor would it be appropriate to the season if the cleaning were done with a chemical-based cleaner.

Why not use some all-natural ingredients that remind you of the nature that's bursting outside?

That's why today, we've got a fast and easy window and mirror wash made of all-natural ingredients. You can use this to get your windows sparkling and clear so you can see all the beautiful daffodils, tulips and magnolias that are in full bloom.

Spray bottle
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of a vegetable oil-based liquid soap such as Dr. Bronner's Magic Pure Castile Classic Soaps
3 tablespoons of vinegar
2 cups of water
10 drops of lavender or lemon essential oil

Pour all ingredients into the spray bottle and shake it up. Spray on your windows and mirrors, then use a washcloth to wipe down.

Well, that was fast and easy. Now it's time to go out and soak in some of spring's bounty.
