The Bed Bug Registry Prepares Travelers For a Bug-Free Holiday

Looking for an infestation-free place to stay during your holiday travels? Take a peek at the Bed Bug Registry, a database of all reported bed bug cases in the United States and Canada.

Everything You Need To Know About Bed Bugs

Aside from the awesome interactive map, the Bed Bug Registry also compiles recent alerts of reported bed bugs, with the aim of giving “travelers and renters a reliable and neutral platform for reporting their encounters with bed bugs.” There are also city maps of the most-infested cities (including New York, of course), and useful products to reduce the chances of bed bugs taking up residence in your home.

It’s A Personal Mission

The Registry is the creation of a writer and computer programmer, who built the website “as a way of getting vengeance against bed bugs after a traumatic experience in a San Francisco hotel.” And now that we’re assembling our suitcases for our own frugal foray into temporary residence, we’re grateful.

Tell us in the comments: Have you ever encountered bed bugs? Have any of your friends or family?
