The holidays are exciting, but also a little frightening: We’re simultaneously looking forward to eggnog and dreading the impact it’ll have on our figures. (But that doesn’t mean we’re not going to drink it.) We are all about adding extra exercise to our daily routines in subtle ways that cost neither time nor money. In addition to going for our usual runs after work, we’re putting together a game plan for small changes we can make that will help us eat smart and move around more during the day without feeling like we’re exercising.

    I just read an article somewhere about how we’re “active couch-potatoes,” meaning that we work out and then sit all day. This seems like the perfect collection of little, movement-based things to counteract that!

    Cooking! When Im out buying groceries and running around I find weirdly that I’m too busy to eat!

    Water and fruit are a must for me everyday. I always take the stairs, and walk to my workplace once I get off the train (it’s about a mile) Also, I practice yoga in the morning for good measure!
