10 Million-Item Fisher Price Recall Puts Safety First

For Baby, everything holds a potential threat—the staircase, the door, the choking-sized Polly Pockets—and now some Fisher Price products do as well.

High Chairs And Tricycles Return To The Plant

After 14 reported injuries, Fisher Price is recalling Healthy Care, Easy Clean, and Close To Me high chairs. After another 10 injuries, the company is recalling Trikes and Tough Trikes toddler tricycles. They’re offering free repairs or replacement products to consumers who return the flawed products, and the specific information as to the make and model of recalled products can be found here, on the company website. In total, Fisher Price is expected to recall about 10 million items.

Safety First

We know that returning products can be a real pain, but we also firmly believe that you can’t put a price on safety. For the young girl in the big city, this might mean taking a cab after midnight to protect herself. For a mom, it might mean taking the time to return Baby’s potentially dangerous product to the apologetic manufacturer. As we said before, potential threats are everywhere for babies and toddlers—we might as well eliminate the ones we know about.
