Running The Biggest Budget In The Country: Peter Orszag To Step Down


Most of the time when we talk about budgeting at LearnVest, we’re discussing it on a strictly personal level. But for the past few years, Peter Orszag has been running a budget on a much larger scale.

As President Obama’s White House budget director, Orszag preceded the last two years working both for the Clinton administration and as director of the Congressional Budget Office.

With the recent changes in health care reform, Orszag has spent some time in the spotlight and is known for championing deficit reduction strategies against those who pushed stimulus spending—but come July, he will leave his post to get married.
