Though you may already have a checking account, pause and make sure that it’s convenient. Your checking account needs to be at a bank that has A.T.M.s and tellers in the city where you’re going to live after graduation. You need to be able to easily deposit your paychecks and withdraw money, without paying fees for using an out-of-network A.T.M.
