The Hunger Games trilogy has been a long-time favorite among young adult readers, but now the series is taking to the big screen in what promises to be one of the biggest movies of the year. We at Go Banking Rates couldn’t help but join in the buzz surrounding all things Hunger Games, so we put our own finance spin on the story.

Our Hunger Games investment series examines all of the districts under the Capitol in Panem, treating each is if it were equivalent to a real industry within America’s present-day economy. We select tributes from each district to fight it out—except instead of kids, two stocks are pit against each other—in order to determine which district is home to the overall victor.
