If you’re like many Americans, you’ve made a financial resolution this January. In fact, 43% of resolutions are all about taking control of our financial future.

Unfortunately, many people fall off the financial resolution bandwagon come February. But there are a couple ways you can keep yourself accountable:

1. Share your resolution with the world.

2. Get the support you need with a LearnVest financial plan and one of our certified financial planners.

Luckily, you can do both by entering our Financial Resolution contest to win one of four prizes! We’re giving away two Complete Financial Plans, worth $349 each—one to a Facebook fan and one to Twitter follower. Plus, two runners up—one from Twitter and one from Facebook—will each win a Core Financial Plan, worth $229. Consider it a personal financial makeover, courtesy of LearnVest.

To enter, like us on Facebook and share your financial resolution on our contest page (and while you’re at it, see what other LearnVesters are doing for their resolutions!). Or follow us on Twitter, and tweet us your resolution like this:

“Hi @LearnVest! My financial resolution is (your resolution goes here) #LVResolution

Or do both and double your chances! We’ll select the most inspiring entries (though cuteness and wit won’t hurt!), because even we want be motivated to stay on track with our own resolutions.

The contest ends January 25th. We’re looking forward to seeing how you’re taking control of your financial future today, and how you plan to do it!

Before you enter, make sure to check out our standard contest rules.

I most certainly want to win!!

I’m really doing a better job  but I could use this and I’ve love to win

Looks like an app, and I don’t do apps. They cause viruses too often. Also, my goal will probably not be creative enough to win. I plan to start saving for a down payment for a house.. not exciting

Hi LV. What if I am interested in participating in this contest but dont have a facebook nor twitter account?

Well if posting here would ever count, my financial resolution this year is to create a two to five year budget plan, which includes a savings for school and an emergency fund. I am a young adult ready to take control of my finances. I wish to learn and apply new financial knowledge for my future.

    Thanks for letting me share.
