Priority Goal issue

    I have priority goals for a few different accounts, such as credit cards and a student loan account.

    The issue that I'm having is that the student loan is broken up into an "A" and "B" account. I have tried linking both a and b to a priority goal, as I automatically have $106.91 deducted to go towards this student loan on or around the 11th of each month. The issue I am having is that when trying the a or b account linked to a priority goal to pay down $106.91 every month, it does not record the payment, but does show the amount is deducted from my account when I view the activity on Learnvest under the "Inbox" section. I categorize it to loan payments, but it still does not credit towards the loan paydown priority goal.

    Any suggestions on this?
  • Hi there,

    Sorry you're having trouble getting your payments to register with your priority goal! As I'm sure you discovered, right now you can only associate one account with one priority goal - you cannot associate multiple accounts with one priority goal (although this is very high on our to do list, so stay tuned!).

    When you created the priority goal, which account did you associate it with - the account where the payment is coming from (let's say Account A), or the other loan account (let's say Account B)?

    If you have created the priority goal using the correct account, here is another thing for you to check: when you make a payment, you should see two transactions come into your account. One should be in green (showing income) and one should be in black (showing an expense). Have you foldered both of those transactions in the correct Priorities folder? It is actually the green transactions that will register with the priority goal, so make sure they are in that folder!

  • I've had the same issue. none of my priority goals ever show a payment being made to them. However the account balances due go down when I make a payment.
