How can I quickly and politely fundraise for a mission trip?
  • I'm a college sophomore and I'm hoping to raise some quick money for an alternative spring break mission trip. I'm a broke college student with no job and I need to raise $50 for a deposit in less than a month and then I'll have to pay $250 before the mission trip itself. How can I fundraise politely...and quickly? Thanks!

Also: I have heard about people writing letters and sending them to family and friends. I would be fine with this, but since the amount I would have to pay for my mission trip isn't all that incredibly large, what would I say in the letter? Because I don't want to earn more than I need for the trip and not put it towards my trip (if that makes sense). In summary: I don't know what to say in the letter! Thanks!
  • Try a kickstarter. Go to kickstarter.com and make a creative and fun page with a message to friends and family explaining the trip. That way everyone can see how much has been saved and collecting will end when the exact amount has been reached (I believe this is an option). It's also a good way to keep everyone informed after the fundraising about how the trip went. You can send everyone that contributed a thank you email and photo for their assistance.
