New Money Center
  • Is anyone else having a hard time accessing the new money center. I have suscribed to it several times now, but I am always taken to the previous one. Is this a glitch, am I doing something wrong, or is it not up and running for everyone yet. I love the money center and would really like to use the new features.
  • I can't see the new one yet either. The last I heard, they were still working on migrating over old users. I'm honestly LearnVest's biggest fan, but I think that they really should have released it to the old users first, or at the very least, at the same time as they made it available to new users. It's not fair that people who have supported the site have to wait, or sign up for a new account and relink everything just to access new features.
  • Hi there,

Great to hear you are both excited for the new Money Center! We have been working really hard over the past few months to build it and we're really excited to get you access as soon as possible.

As you mentioned, we are currently in the process of migrating over all of our users. Our primary goal has been to make this transition as seamless as possible so we wanted to migrate you, our most dedicated LearnVest users, when the tool and the process were most complete.

Having said that, if you each email in to feedback@learnvest.com with the email address you use to log in to LearnVest, I would be glad to move you to the top of our list. This should get you access to the new tools within 24 hours!

If there are other dedicated users out there who would like access to the new Money Center asap, email us at feedback@learnvest.com!

  • Thanks, Its great.
  • There definitely isn't any urgency for me to get the new Money Center, but I was curious when the rest of us should expect to see our page migrated over?
  • I'm having trouble with the new Priority Goals tool. I am unable to make manually linked accounts into Priority Goals, and as 2 of these accounts are in collections, they are currently my top priority. How can I get these accounts to show up as options when I go to create a new Priority Goal? Thanks for your help, and I like the New Money Center a lot!
    -Connie
  • Hi Connie,

Unfortunately there is not a way to create priority goals using a manually linked account. This is because our ability to track the progress of a priority goal is dependent on the transactions appearing in your Financial Inbox automatically.

Are you able to link those accounts to LearnVest? If so, you will be able to create Priority Goals for them. If we do not yet support your credit card institutions, you can request them here: http://bit.ly/TplpfS.

  • Thanks for clearing all that up about Priority Goals!

My question about the linked accounts as as follows:

    1) Nelnet: i know you guys have Nelnet access --- but no matter how many times I reenter my log-in info, I cannot ever connect my Nelnet to my Learnvest account --- any idea what could be causing this?

    2) Ann Taylor LOFT Credit Card --- that's another one that you guys have the option to link, but once again, it does not add automatically --- and I have to do it manually --- and that's another thing that I would like to be able to set a priority goal for.

I'm loving Learnvest so far though! Keep up the great work! And maybe in the future, we can create priority goals with our manually added accounts --- maybe in the same way that we currently have the capability of adding cash transactions into our inbox.

    Thanks again!
  • @ItsValerious - I have the same issues with my Express and Victoria's Secret credit cards as you do with your LOFT card. If they're represented by the same bank, I think the issue is the security questions they ask you after you log-in on a computer other than your own. The answer I put in initially on LV was fine, but they rotate the security questions sometimes so I think it causes problems keeping the accounts logged in. The same thing happened to me when I used to use Mint. Its irritating to have to keep relinking but I don't know if there's a way to work around it.
  • @itsValerious and @cc11782n -

Sorry you are both having trouble with some accounts! @cc11782n, you are totally correct that errors are often to do with the security systems that your accounts use on their websites - most often the security questions they ask.

We would be happy to take a look at these for you and see if there is any kind of work around that could help. Just send in an email to feedback@learnvest.com with the following information:

    1. What accounts are not updating correctly
    2. What error message you see for each account (if any)
    3. Screenshots of each issue
    4. The email address you use to log in to LearnVest
    5. The login URL that you use to log in to each account directly (the URL for the page where you enter in your credentials).

We will get to work on that asap!

  • Will do!
Also, is there a way to add Medical Debt to the accounts center? Or can I only do that manually? Please let me know!

    Thanks!
  • Hi,

I recently started using the Money Center and have found it's very helpful. However, it's not reflecting the monthly payments I'm making to my student loans. The payments appear in my inbox and I file them under loan payments but under priority goals it does not show the payment I've made for the month although I believe it shows my updated balance. Anyone else having the same problem?

    Thanks!
  • Hi @LA827,

Is your loan payments folder in the Priorities section of your Inbox? Only transactions from those folders reflect in the priority goal.

If you have any more questions, let us know at feedback@learnvest.com!

  • @Feedback from LearnVest Yes it is, and what I'm saying is that the payments aren't being reflected in both my priority goal and my budget. So, for example, the student loan payment I made this month hasn't been taken out of my budget and my priority goal page says I've contributed $0 this month to my goal, although my account balance on my loan seems to be correct.
  • Hi LA827,

Got it - thanks for clarifying. Send in an email to feedback@learnvest.com with the email address that you use to log in to LearnVest and we can take a look at this for you!

  • Not sure if this has already been answered, but how do you add a debt if the instituation (account) is not present in learnvest?
  • Hi @Sanjay,

The best way to do that is to add the debt as a manual account. This will make sure that your net worth is accurate, and it means you can adjust the balance of the debt as necessary.

Check out our Help Center article for more info on this: http://support.learnvest.com/customer/portal/articles/787158.

    Have a great afternoon!
