My daughter and I made a memory board that she gets to update the pictures in and will grow with her. We did paint her old dresser. Also to keep it fresh we switch out the curtains with ones from the clearence bin. We rotate her pictures on the wall or toys on display. She gets to tape her masterpieces to the walls, that way there are less holes to fill. We hung some wall hooks that hang totes to hide toys or her backpack or coats or necklaces that provide visual interest but are still useful. The best thing we did was pick the large furniture that will grow with her.
