        LV, I love you, but this slideshow business is annoying.  I’d rather read a bulleted or numbered list than have to click through a slideshow.  ESPECIALLY on my iPhone.

        I would like to add one. I have a lot of girl friends who are in bad relationships/have recently broken up, yet they are still living together/getting assistance from their boyfriends because they weren’t financially secure before going in, and now they feel trapped by their situations. Why is that?

        We hear you on the slide show view! In fact, we’ve just implemented a way for you to see a slide show as a list, as requested.

        We’re experiencing technical difficulties with it at the moment, but expect to have it fixed as soon as tomorrow, and then, forevermore, you can see any slide show in your preferred format. Even on your iPhone!

        I can’t Even see it. Listen, we understand you need to monetize more off your site by making us stay here as long as possible…but these teases really suck. No, I mean seriously really. Slide shows are annoying. You know this, we know this. Don’t punish your loyal readers. Don’t punish your new readers. Stop reading ‘Fifty Shades’ and just tell us what you want to tell us.

          Slide shows are HORRID. The content of web pages is relegated to a postage stamp and the other 90% of the page is all ads and distracting garbage. Shows you were the focus is — on making money, not providing quality content. A lot of these dumb slide shows are just plain annoying — I don’t want to have to click 800 times. Also sticking a huge photo there doesn’t make me think I’m getting more content. I DO notice that the actual words total about 300-500 if that. 99% of the time if it’s a slide, I skip and close the tab. I really don’t have time to mess around with clicking constantly and loading up java garbage while bombarded with ads.

        Another one (although less common nowadays perhaps):  being financially dependent on your husband, especially after kids.  A good friend of mine swore she never wanted to work and didn’t see the point, until her husband was unfaithful.  Now she’s stuck in the relationship because she has no money of her own and no work experience to speak of, let alone a college degree :-/.

        God I’m tired of the women and shoes thing. I have been a woman for a long time (hhahaahah) and have never cared a fig for shoes. I do not get hot and bothered over something you stick on dirty stinky sweaty feet. In fact I don’t even like feet. And I don’t care about shoes. They get me where I need to go without burning on a hot street or freezing in snow. Shoes are utilitarian, that’s all. I have some sneaks and 2 pairs of Docs (one of which I bought in 1997!) Please get over this woman/shoe fetish thing already.
