Tip #8 – I love this! I’ve been trying to balance too much positive change and this makes it seem easier. Good advice!

Great tips!  (I really do need to get rid of those Lands End catalogs!)  A lot of these will help many other areas of your life, too, which is an extra bonus!

I’m definitely going to do the time analysis exercise (#10).  My focus has dwindled lately and I need to get it back on track!

Hi…love LearnVest, but do not really love these slide shows…they take too long to go thru…if you would like me to save time…PLEASE give me lists…Thanks

  • GypsySoul68

I agree with Putoutthelights… Love your info, LearnVest… but I HATE slideshows; I relate much better to lists! .

  • gjack71

agree with GypsySoul and Putoutthelights – slideshows are a terrible user experience (and an obvious pageview-grab). Ironic that a time-saving post is presented in such an inefficient manner.

please, for the love of god: no more slideshows.  they are slow and unwieldy, and almost never worth the time they take.

or, if you insist on this approach, at least throw your readers a bone and, like the kind folks at Real Simple, let us know what each slide is going to be about so we can go directly to that entry.  (when you hover over a slideshow image at RS, up pops a pithy preview.  thank you, RS.  i hate slideshows, but i tolerate yours bcs of your user-friendliness.)

I like the $5 piggy bank idea a lot! I usually do it with coin change right now and use it for vacation money. Imagine my vacation money when I start doing it with fives! Thanks for the tip…

  • Subrena

Thanks LearnVest. I think my favorite is the $5 bank idea. I alread do that with my loose coins.  Within a few months I’ve probably racked up about $50.00 in my $10.00 silver plastic piggy bank I purchased from Target.  I also appreciate the reference to Instapaper.  I’m definately going to check it out.

Yes! I hate the slide shows. Whether I am on my phone or on my PC, I find it rather annoying.

I agree, I’m now on Instapaper. That seems that it will become a very useful tool for me, considering I have a tendency to be unable to read all of my Learnvest at other people’s houses with the time I’m given to check my email. The rest of these seem pretty useful too. Especially the fiver one.
