Energy Trackers Can Help Save You Money.

Between our refrigerator, air conditioning, phone charger, laptop charger, fan, blender, toaster, dishwasher, and television, our energy use is increasing at what seems to be an immeasurable rate. To keep a handle on our energy consumption (and our wallets), the Wall Street Journal has compiled a list of websites and gadgets to keep tabs on the energy we use.

Much like writing down our expenses when sticking to a budget, keeping a record of our energy output helps us figure out where to cut down. The Consumer Electronic Association runs an online energy calculator to figure out exactly how much you’re spending on energy, and devices like the Google PowerMeter digitally track your output and send it directly to the computer.

Eco-friendliness gets easier every day.
