We all love cooking...in concept. It's extremely cost-efficient, significantly kinder to our waistlines (restaurants often add twice the butter and salt to the same meals we'd make at home!), really fun to do, and makes us look like culinary pros to those in attendance.
To help you, we came up with a divine quest: 10 meals that can be made in under 10 minutes, for under $10.
Our selection includes: crisp salmon orzo salad, Parmesan tortellini, your favorite homemade chili, summer tuna bean salad, cannellini ziti with escarole, healthy Asian chicken stir fry, our version of Rachel Ray's quesadillas—with extra vegetables!, creamy lentil pilaf, Food Network-inspired fried rice, and dill-scented tilapia fillet. None of these recipes requires a culinary education beyond about fifth grade (check), nor necessitates massive preparation work (check).
Read on for our mouth-watering slide show, with price and time estimates for each dish (and recipes!).
